Yesterday I had the pleasure of accompanying my two favorite dates (Steven and Bonny) to the 1Kept restaurant opening on Wentworth.

We weren’t sure what to expect, but we did know there would be free food and booze – and we aren’t too far removed from college to deny that (I’m not sure I’ll ever be, actually).

The restaurant was very pretty – located in the Renaissance Historic District Hotel, it’s brimming with gorgeous art and fun furniture. They had a musical guest and Andrew Zimmerman, of Bizarre Foods spoke briefly about the opening.

It was a surprise that we were even invited to this thing, honestly. It was a “VIP party” and we normally consider ourselves VAPs (very adequate people). But luckily, we did end up on this list.

The outfit I wore consisted of a dusty rose wrap top that is Bonny’s (she deserves all the props for this). She originally got it at Nordstrom Rack, but you can find a similar top here. My leather leggings are older and from Nordstrom Rack as well, but you can find a ton of affordable options online. I love these by Only.

My necklaces are all from Bauble Bar. I LOVE this new Pandora Bib Set.

My shoes are also from Nordstrom Rack, but strappy black shoes are a dime a dozen now. Check out these from ASOS.

The track I picked for this look is from one of my favorite albums of 2016 – and this is probably my favorite track on the album. The vocals are soft and lead up to the gut-wrenching repetition of Angel repeating the line “All my life I thought I’d change.” I picked this song to pair with the look because of the juxtaposition of the romantic blouse and dark leather pants. I feel like the look is edgy romantic, which this song exemplifies perfectly.
