I recently took a trip to Target and picked up some new beauty faves. I’m headed to Destin, FL in two days with my whole family (about 18 of us total I think? I’ve lost count) and I’m also out of a lot of beauty and skincare products I use daily. I feel like I’m on a cycle where I usually have to buy all of these things at once… so I normally go to Target or shop Amazon Prime and get a load of stuff.
I’ve tried a few new products so I wanted to review them for you here!
1. Nourish Organic Moisturizing Face Cleanser, 6.99 2. Sonia Kashuk Limited Edition “Pretty Cheeky” Face Palette, 19.99 3. Harry’s Shave Gel, 5.99 4. Vitall 8-in-1 Masque for Normal to Fine Hair, 3.99 5. Sonia Kashuk Limited Edition Pop Art Brush Set, 22.99 6. Acure Organics Day Cream, 16.99
So far, I’m loving this cleanser. This is a new brand that I haven’t tried before – I read reviews while I was in the beauty aisle and the only thing people complained about was the smell, which I don’t actually mind. It’s not a great scent, but I kind of prefer that with facial products… I don’t want it to feel like I’m putting something super fake on my skin. This is nice and moisturizing and has a creamy consistency.
I picked up this palette because I thought it would be perfect for traveling. Also, I love Sonia Kashuk and her packaging gets me every time. I watched a review from Kathleen Lights on Youtube that mentioned it as one of her favorites. I LOVE that the highlight doesn’t make me look like I have a safety reflector on my face (although, I don’t know, maybe that would come in handy if I were ever running at night… but I don’t really do that).
The bronzer is nice and not too dark or muddy – and the blush is cute for the summer especially. It’s very pigmented so a little goes a long way.
Again, I’m a sucker for Harry’s branding. I also bought their razor set to try and so far I love it. They mainly market towards men, but there is no better shave than a men’s razor, I’m convinced. This stuff smells a little manly, but coming from someone who wears men’s Old Spice deodorant, I don’t mind. My legs are smooth!
I got this hair masque in a Target Beauty box I received a while ago. If you haven’t gotten one of these, they are AWESOME. They aren’t subscription based, you just receive an email detailing what’s in the monthly box and you can opt to purchase. The most they will ever be is about $7.00, which is crazy considering the amount of stuff you can get. July is sold out, but be on the lookout for August if you’re interested.
The masque is amazing adding some life back into your hair. They give you a ton of product so I have saved half of mine before. I thought this would be good to do before my vacation because I have spent a lot of time in the sun recently and my hair is getting a little dry.
Brusshesssss!!! Yes, I love makeup brushes. Especially cool, pop-art themed ones. So far, these are great. I’m not someone who needs a ton of different brushes because most of my makeup is fairly basic day to day. These pretty much cover everything I need besides eyes ( I use a two-sided brush in my main eyeshadow palette.)
Last, but not least – the Acure day cream. I love this brand! This is one of the most affordable organic drugstore brands you can find. I use their moisturizers, their exfoliating scrubs, and their moroccan argon oil for my skin. You can find them at Target and Whole Foods.
I’m pretty pumped about all of these products! Have anything you think I should try next time?
P.S… here are some tunes to listen to while you let your hair masque sit.
